Monstera occurs as genus of tropical plants which belongs to the arum family Araceae. Known as fallowing a Latin word for "monstrous" or "abnormal", a members of the genus come distinguished by their unusual cut leaves. It is normally grown inside when houseplants. A right-known representative of the genus, Monstera deliciosa, is cultivated for its edible fruit which taste like the combination of banana & pineapple.
